Over the last couple of years of my twenty’s I got into credit card debt and one little mistake of not transferring money from my savings to my checking cost me more then I wanted. So now I have to be more responsible . At first that made me mad but it was a wake up call. It meant that I had to get out of credit card debt . Which meant adding more debt to my current debt which is includes my student loan .I started 2014 with three credit cards and so far I have paid off one of the cards and I’m on card number two right now with less than $300 to go !
As for card number 3 it will take a while because that card is over $1,400 and I haven’t used any of my cards this year at all . Trust me its been hard . But when I go into the stores these cards are from I go in and pay my bill .If I need anything I pay in cash . Paying cash has made things so much easier .I’m spending less. Which is pretty awesome because when your on a tight budget you need to be responsible. Paying cash also means that I stick to a budget . If I have $40 and I need to by my essentials like :
bread, frozen fruit for smoothies and cheese and peanut butter and yogurt.I stick to my budget. Ill be posting how I stick to a budget when I buy the stuff I buy . Mind you I live with my parents but I still stick to a budget. I haven’t bought any major make up in about 6 months.
To break down how i’m paying my Credit card debt :
Card #2’s max pay is $35 a month I give them a $100 each month.
Card #3 is $80 a month I give them $85 each month
Once card #2 is paid off Ill be paying $185 each month . If my math is right ill be done with card #3 in about 7-10 months . When card #3 is paid off Ill have $185 to save up each month for when I can officially move out or go on a trip.
